I sent $325 dollars for some 340 manifolds in a Postal MO to User Name: The boys. He wrote and said he received it on 1-15. I still haven't received them. I have sent 3 PM's and a email with no response. I am pissed to say the least. Not sure what I should do but I guess this is a warning.
 
Perhaps something happened, accident/death etc? I know some will say that is no excuse but some folks have different priorities....

I hear ya but he said he was shipping them and now it's been 18 days and he won't return my PM's or emails? I sell lots of stuff and usually ship within a day or two.
 
I can say that if he sent them thru the PO things seem to be taking forever lately. Took 5 days for a piece of Priority Mail to get from Phoenix Az to Spokane Wa.....Good Luck

The mod said he hadn't logged in since last week. He gave me his email. I wrote him last week a PM and then a email and a PM this week. I have my receipt from the Postal Money order isn't this mail fraud?
 
Hmmm;Well the shipping could be understandable-I sent a guy money for a 340 air cleaner-waited and waited-finally someone answered his phone.Then she informed me that he had been taken to jail for two years-we finally worked through all the problems and I did get the air cleaner but wow what a mess.Don't know the guy but keep trying.

I worked at the USPS for 20 years....you would be surprised. All it takes is one number to be transposed in the zip and a trip across town very well might take a month. If they were shipped thru the PO and were not packaged properly they very well may be sitting in a Nixie cage some where.......but I guess you know more about how the PO works then me.......
 
through parcel post ...it took 18 days from Michigan to Vegas to get a set of shocks...

How would i know how it was shipped when the guy won't respond.
 
Either way I would be happy if they were in a cage somewhere as long as they show up. Unfortunately when someone doesn't respond for 2 weeks to correspondence via PM or email it worries me when I have 3 bills out there.
 
I agree with you. I buy and sell a lot and with no response I would be worried to. I would see if I could dig up a phone number linked to his name or address.
 
I wounder if the weather has his internet down. There has been some bad weather patterns
everywhere it seems, just something to think about, Like you I would be concerned
Yes I would think this would be mail fraud and a case can be made I believe.

Good point Mike bout the net...ours was down last week for over a week. To me 2 1/2 weeks isnt that long of time. Give it a bit more time(I know easy for me to say)
 
Im local to that address....if you dont recieve your parts or get a hold of someone...id call the shelby police dept. And file a report or even havr a squad car go to that address to make sure they are still there and ok?? Let me know if i can help? You will probably be ok, but use that as a last resort.
 
It's around Detroit I'm sure you can find a strong arm to pay him a visit
 
I bought a tuff wheel adaptor here from a member, He was in California and im in Pennsylvania, I got it in two days USPS. I say there is no excuse not to have it yet.
 
since you have his name and address contact his local police or sheriff they'd be happy to pay him a visit

The postal service can be very slow.
The lady who runs our local post office says it can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks if it is going or comming from some where that does not have a large amount of volume to move. They wait until they have a truck full to ship larger items.

No communication is bad.

I bought a transmission from a member here in CA I am WV.
The trans came within 2 miles of the local ups hub.
Ups said the container was compromised and shipped it back to CA.
The seller drove 30 miles to his ups terminal and they told him the container was compromised and shipped it back to WV wtf?
It finally arrived at my house about 2 months after the seller shipped it.
But we stayed in contact. Sometimes crap happens.
 
i bought a red line tire from a moparts member 2 months ago.
it took a month for me to receive it.
the transaction went well in the end.

it was around the holidays also.

give him some time to respond.
 
also you have to figure the guy needs to box them up some way and haul them down to the post office etc. if he works M-F he might not even have sent them until 7 days ago or if real busy not until today

i bought a powerlok unit for a dana from a guy on moparts he was very prompt, sent it out a couple days later, he even drop shipped it straight to doctordiff for me (who rebuilt it)
 
ive never had USPS take more than 6 days for any parts even clear across the country. the fact that he is not responding is not cool. i would have found a way to communicate even if my internet service was down. good luck man, i hope this works out for you.
