340 gone! Performance shop shut down! Help!

Thank you! Contacted the DA and they said since my car is not there it is a civil matter only and would be a small claims case.

Thanks, and yes if I did not have so much to lose with my job I would be there busting that place open!

Yea post an ad on Craigslist to at least notify others that may not realize that their stuff is in jeopardy as well. Get some following going and maybe someone out there with some pull can pull some strings with either the media etc.

I hate to say this but lawyer up now!!
I hope you have paper work with agreed work to be done.
My buddy currently ownes $40K of a contracters house, super nice house, but not worth anything until the house is sold or willed on. Plus 10% interest per year.
This was all done without the contracter showing up for court.

ROAD TRIP!!! I say 15 or 20 FABO guys show up there Lemoore Cali and make something happen. That $hit right there just pisses me off!!

Thanks for all the inputs guys. I am about 45 minutes away from the shop otherwise I would be camping out there. I have tried e-mailing to that address and it gets returned as not deliverable. Facebook page has been deleted. If I don't get any feedback from the BBB complaint or police report I filed, news is next. Not sure what else to do. I have a lawyer and he says this may be a long process especially if they skipped town. The owners name is mitch brooks and their new website was listed under brooks performance. Yes they are inc. His site also says the following:

WRONG....Since you paid them money for services it is now fraud.... Stay on thier (DAs) asses....email the Gov... The local paper...the state police... Etc Make noise... Then if that doesnt work , go pay a visit with5 of the biggest guys you know!

Also in a lot of states $3,000 in fraud is a felony.

The DA just didn't want to mess with it and file charges against the owner.

Make them. (I would be on thier *** about it and insist they file charges) with the stipulation that the charges will be dropped if they evened up with me.
You have been defrauded and had your property stolen and you want to file charges.
Use that exact wording.

They HAVE to do it.
