MILAN: Italian car giant Fiat on Wednesday announced it was changing its name after completing the purchase of US automaker Chrysler to "Fiat Chrysler Automobiles" and would list its shares in New York and Milan.

"In order to establish a true peer to the major global automotive groups, in both scale and capital market appeal, the Board has decided to establish Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., organized in the Netherlands, as the parent company of the Group," the group said in a statement

Probably better for the poor old receptionist at the dealership who currently has to reel off Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Alfa Romeo everytime she answers the phone.

Don't care - that's the holding company's name and logo.

That's all.

The components could change their respective names and logos, but probably not.

Well, I just bought a used GMC 4wd Sierra with a 6.0 and a 5 speed,...So that should tell ya what I think of F.C.A. N.V. or Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep/Ram/Dodge offerings as of late,...And Just for the record, I was A DIE HARD MOPAR FANATIC,...

Does the new 200 Look a like a bigger Dart to you guys and gals??? Just Sayin....

And for you youngsters Under 30 who never had the joy (?) of wrenchin on a Fiat,...It stands for "Fix It Again Tomorrow" or "Fix It Again Tony"...

on a technicality, my friend's 124 spyder has a hemi. So, his dad got him a bumper sticker that it rocks that says "Si, Es Tu Hemi"

I really don't have a problem with it.No matter what they're called if they build something I like I'll buy it..if not I won't. The product is what's important not the name. After all my DD is a Ford.

Chrysler has been gone for a while. The company that built my Dakota and everyone's A-bodies died in 1998.

Nice that they didn't lose the Chrysler name as often happens in big company takeovers. As for the new 'logo'. Big yawn...this is the best they came up with?
