You can section in a length of rail fairly easily. Not sure how far how bad it is or if it will be bad on top in the trunk floor. Kinda looks like it goes a ways. Is that spray foam inside the rail?? With all the screws poking through there I suspect the trunk floor is crap too.

I believe AMD and other sell rail "caps" that you slip over and weld over the bad section.OR....

Me and a buddy of mine saw that car at the auto fair, I guess before you bought it, We both thought it looked very rough at first glance, and didn't even crawl under it to look at it, but that rotted frame should have been easy to spot. Sucks that your hung with it, its going to be costly to fix properly, it will have rust in places you cant even see.

3-4K and I am being nice.
If one rail is that bad so is the other, also you most likely need a trunk panel.
Check the rest of the car, you may have bought a "shiny parts car"

also Lee Robinson on here sells nice used parts do a search, good parts, LAwrence

If you were closer, I have afew cars you could come take one or two frame rails out of.
You know I know it is a "BUYER BE AWARE" world, but I sucks that people will sell stuff like this and not tell a potential buyer.

thats what strange trunk is nice everywhere but the section above that rot... a piece of metal 4 inches wide and 12 inches long would fix that spot the rest is perfect. yes someone put foam in the rail... why i dont know...shame that suck a nice car has crappy rear frame rails....

from the mopar nats stickers from 2002 and 2004.. that was the build date... rest of pan and frame is great just the rear sections from back end to about 3-4 feet forward then its fine...

i could have it back halved for that price! lol I had a 71 challenger that needed 2 rear quaters and the top chopped off and a donor one put on... the best guy around did all the work and primed for $3500... thanks for the estimate though.

Just back half it.

the cool thing is the leafs are inboard and they also cut and added 3-4 inches to the inner wheel wheels and put it back all pretty as can be... has these tires already and can fit another 4-5 inches of tire....... would rather keep the leafs... pleanty big tire already~!:D

i had a white 69 383 car like the one in your photo.. love the 68/69 darts also, would be my first choice of body style for sure.

I have some nice rear frame rails if you are looking for factory replacements. I'll even section them if you are not going to do a complete replacement to save on shipping cost.

i was taken aback when i got there to pick it up...looked tired and worn... over all it was a nice build... back in 2002... has some life on it for sure... looks alot better all cleaned up... body is very solid... the pans are great... the damn rear frame rails are the prob. over all i think for the price its a good car..seller stated 69 magnum 383 the pad on block near dist. says H 400 guess its a 400 after all not a roadrunner 383... bummer there too..i was let down for sure and the seller is onboard to make it right.. we shall see.its mainly been neglected... needs some love but i think its worthy of some love. wonder if he turned down many people like he said he was having to do... or if it was a story....anyways he owns a big business in nc and im close... and the internet and a business that needs good reviews can do wonders in helping someone fix a wrong...we shall see..

also i saw that rust but didnt know it was that bad till it popped on the way home... then i saw ...lol
