I have a factory AC car with no controllers, no box and no compressor. I would like to purchase an AC setup that will work in this car. It does not have to be correct, this is not a restoration. I do not have a dash bezel zo I could fab one.
 
Vintage Air kits and knee knocker units that hang under the dash are all designed for those vehicles that aren't built for/with factory air. While the compressor, belt/pulley setup, etc.., is variable with engine choice,, What goes inside a factory a/c car isn't so variable. If you really would rather first have a non a/c setup inside so you can add air to it, altering or replacing a section of the factory firewall would be required.
Since you are talking rally dash and willing to modify that bezel, 100 percent of factory air from a 73,4, A-body would be my target. Why? The pre 73 push button climate controller is a trouble maker, their chromed pot metal vent assembly is prone to pitting and breaking, etc.., etc...
The very sweetest homemade retrofit is single DIN stereo head unit placed where the factory climate controller was. Climate controller goes where "fecked up" factory radio windows were. I wouldn't trade mine for anything else I've seen.
 
You can also use a vintage air or classic air system and modify a factory vent box to give it that stock look.

Couple of crude pictures showing the process. Second picture is what you would trim off the stock box in order to make room for hoses. You just stuff the hoses in the back of teh opening and they blow air through the vents just like factory. Last picture is with everything trimmed and permanently installed.

You can paint the padded surround to match your interior.

could you post a photo of what it looks like? I would be able to visualize from there. So what I am hearing from you is to obtain a 73 or 74 A body AC setup and retro fit into my 67 for a more trouble free setup.
 
The AC stuff is not going to be the same for your car as mine. I am running a tru-track system and I routed my lines through the wheel wells and up from the bottom so you don't see the hoses draped across the engine bay. Here is a couple more for reference. Best thing for you to do is troll the classic air and vintage air web sites, come up with a good plan then EXECUTE! :D

Mine is a long story and "ain't over" yet. I originally was going to adapt later model Sanden to the engine from an OEM engine, but the brackets are huge and ridiculous, and then buy a "hang on" under dash unit off ebay

Things changed. "Fratzog_Lover" ended up selling me an AFTERMARKET underhood lot that he removed from his car. this is "all the stuff" that hooks to OEM AC but uses an Sanden instead of the old Mopar cast iron pump

In the photo below, the firewall side of the unit is at the bottom of the photo. The two round holes connect to your defroster outlets. The three oval fittings are A/C outlets, and "you can't see" the heat floor outlet out the bottom of the unit

The only downside ? is that there is no provision for fresh air, and you'd have to "do something" with your original fresh air cowl fitting. Some guys claim you can adapt a driver side fresh air box. Look at the thread I posted. I may adapt a Mustang air box as I did for the drivers side.

This very quickly changed "my direction."

This is similar to what was posted above. This is a complete, self contained heat / defrost / under dash unit, that requires NO firewall entrances. In other words you can re-route the heater and AC lines out to the wheel well to hide them better. I will probably use the factory heater hose openings in my (non AC) firewall.

This unit is VERY compact, and you can look up the specs at Vintage Air

This box is called a 68000-VUZ-A is known as a "ComPac Gen H W/DEF" and if you Google that you'll find "stuff" on it
