or any new cars for that matter...however there is a decline with older cars...so i think they do it just to get as much attendance as they can.Factory fresh mustangs.
I hate fan voting too, Roadcuda. It's a perfect way to discourage knowledgeable owners and restorers from displaying their cars at the show, so you wind up with all tri-five Chebbies. If you like fan voting at car shows, then by the same logic you should choose the valedictorian of all graduating classes by popular vote, too.At shows with fan voting...
People have no respect for other cars. Never leave you car open, Hood or trunk. This was the worst.
I walked to the Food stand not far away with friends and members of this site. As we returned I saw two legs and sneakers sticking out of my trunk on my Duster.. Having a pizza in my hands I walked up and yelled. He jumped from the trunk laughing and said he was checking my vin. as he scurried away..
i don't mind clone/tributes as long as they don't try to pass it off as true carsClone/ tribute cars
don't forget car shows evolved from the cruise ins of the 60s&70s when these cars were new.its been down hill since just worry bout my own junk screw everybody elseFactory fresh mustangs.
You missed Bobby Fuller !I'm 60 years old, and still waiting to hear songs from my era. Doo wop, and those crappy girl bands have to be the worst, most amateur music ever. There was only 3 good 50's musicians. Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, and.... Ok, only 2.
A buddy and I used to go to the various Ford and Mopar show/drags as well as the Olympics Of Drag Racing memorial day weekend races at Great Lakes Dragway back in the 80's and there were always, always douchebags leaving the premises getting on it, burning out, usually the riffraff jacked up heaps that never saw the track...we used to immitate the track announcer with play by play: "Everyone's a racer at Great Lakes Dragway!" as the douchebags rolled out. I still get a laugh from that today!I know, the thread is about what we hate........ but....
at the mopar show (yes, it's a little out of town) I go to, my favorite part is when they leave... most doing burnouts and flooring it.
the real car show is the drag way. Cars were meant to be driven, and muscle cars were meant to be "opened up", and it all happens at the drag way
Checkbook cars! Lol I call them subcontractors. They just buy a car and have subcontractors all over the place fixing it and doing stuff and then the subcontractors tell them what they did and then they to go to the car show and say all this stuff was done as if they did it themselves. Only repeating what their contractors did. As in I took it to the shop and have that done and I took it to that shop and had this done blah blah blah....Number one thing i hate are "Checkbook" cars. That' the reason I no longer go to the good guys show.
Number 2 are the D bags. I had a guy walk up to me and my lady and ask " why did you ruin this car?" My car was a 71 318 auto swinger. It was not some H code car so I cut it up and made a full drag car. My response was "if you don't like it you can just keep walking. I didn't ask you to stop."
