I'm adding a Procharger to the Dart and need to upgrade my fuel system. I'm going with a 1/2 inch sending unit in the original location in the tank. I'll also be adding a bung for the return line. Using an electric pump then Need 1/2 inch feed line to the boost referenced pressure regulator.

I'm debating between aluminum lines flared to us AN fittings? Push lock line and AN fittings? Steel braided lines with AN fittings?

I'm new to this and just looking for people's thoughts on cost differences vs benefits ect. Any help is appreciated.

I'd run hard line and the braided towards the ends. Saves money. You don't need braided the whole way. AN fittings of course. You also don't need a 1/2" return, just the feed line.

Yeah I was looking at the aluminum 1/2 inch line. Pretty affordable but then you have to buy the $100 37 degree flare tool to use AN fittings. Oh well I'm sure I could use it in future projects

Very true. Maybe going AN the whole way would be equal after all.

No need for a special flare tool. The aluminum line is so soft, if you flare them to 45 with a traditional flare tool, they with seal fine when tightened.

Aluminum line is a pain in the a$$ to route properly without kinks. Braided is too expensive. I ran some 1/2 blue Parker high pressure fuel line from summit.

To connect the hard line to AN line, they sell "tube to AN" fittings.

Can you get Nicopp in 1/2"?

Yep... Amazon has it. Easy to bend yet rigid. I would go this route before braided line because of crappy ethanol and what it does to the linings of braided hose.

Summit sells lined braided line that fuel will not eat.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to look into all these suggestions. I'll let you know what I decide to do. May be a week or two before I get to work on it again

I run Aeromotive braided hose. Supposed to be the best.number 10 in and out. Also an Aeromotive 2000 pump. My car and life are worth it. Kim

There is alcohol proof fuel line out there. My fast 2.0 fuel inj. system came w/ enough for a feed line. I had s/s braided ptfe lined in already, which I used as a return/back into the 3/8 pick up w/ the sock cut off. My dual outlets are on the back bottom of the new stock tank.

Just giving an update. I ended up going with aero motive -8 feed and return lines with AN fittings. Installed a 1/2 sending unit in the stock tank and installed a -8 bulkhead fitting for the return. Tank is back in and next up is running all the lines.

I much prefer steel hard line to aluminum. Just personal preference. It's much more robust.
