This is more for the non-daily driver a bodies..
How far do you venture from home in a car that you may not drive to often?
I'm thinking mostly 72 and back.
My car, 67 barracuda..bought in 1/18, did a lot of mechanical and electrical work and then did about a 2 hour ride away from home, and then back on a crazy hot day. Ran well, no break downs, lol.
But how far would you go...4 hours, 8 hours, etc?

3 hr round trip. I'd like to make mine more hi-way friendly. One day.

I hear you on that. I've been going through rebuilding my front end, new steering box, new tires and then alignments. Back to the shop one last time hopefully for them to dial in the right, more modern numbers and then I should be smooth sailing on the highway.

Nice! Good car.
Thank you....she's been a VERY dependable car.....
On that 900 mile drive she needed brakes, needed tires, the rear end howled like a bad dog and the steering was all over the place...but she made it without a hick-up!

The farthest ever was over 6,000 coast to coast and back again in a 67 Dart. Last month did a 6 hour round trip in my buddy's 64 Dodge station wagon. Drove from Pittsburgh to Carlisle and back again. When I sold my 68 Valiant the new owner drove it from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Drove 9 Hot Rod Power Tours in several different Mopars.

Last year at drag week I drove the 71 Dart 1,000 miles over 5 days. Also made five 1/4 mile passes. Made me very nervous but the car didn't skip a beat. We'll see how she does this year.

I have no problem driving 500 miles in a day in any of mine (other than the '53 Buick...it's a two-lane car), but I get nervous leaving them anywhere overnight, so that's about the limit for me...not because of the cars but my anxiety.

So far just about 1hr 20 min away from home and back. So far no problems.
Really want to drive it from Denver to LasVegas for muscle cars at the strip, but so far something always seems to get in the way. Maybe next year. Still want to get a/c on it, and drop in some highway gears before doing that trip.

2 months after I finished mine we drove it 2,000 miles round trip to Vegas. Last year we did 2800 miles to Carlisle PA. Also did the power tour. At least once a month I will drive it about 6 hours on a nice Sunday drive through the Hill Country.

I have done a 4 hour one way trip 8 times now and countless 1 hour one way trips . 70 Duster 418 3.91 gears.

I would much rather drive it than park it at a car show.......unless it takes me over 1 1/2 hours to get to it.

Ill drive my GTX to Woodward if I feel up to going, that’s an hour, drove it to the Gilmore last year with Uli and Irina, that was 2 hours. It’s the gas that keeps me from going too far in that car. I’d drive Nellas car that far or more if I wanted to go somewhere in it!

Longest drive so far in one day and one way was 17 hours and half of that was at 85-90mph without so much as a hiccup. (multi state speed limits):D
Other than that about 1,000 miles a month average.

A couple hours on the xway but I didn't get very far because I was getting off of every ramp so I could get back on and go through the gears and catch the car I was next to when I got off.
A real fun day:D

2016 drove Kansas to Minnesota, dyno'd the car. 2017 full powertour, 2200 miles round trip. Even raced it in Indy 10 hours from home

No more than 50 miles one way.

That's how far my insurance company will pay for towing if I break down. Lol
