Stop in for a cup of coffee

To help me mitigate the feeling of sadness, I felt compelled to do this image.

There are several major parts of it that are connected to happy memories of the past with my parents and grandparents. I won’t go into the details, just enjoy the image and the hopefully happy feelings it conveys.

Dd,from your extended family. Blessed be.

Well time for me to get in gear.
Got to move a tool box to the shop.
My mechanic passed away over a year ago and his parents asked me to get his monster tool box out of their garage.
Time to find a wrecker to move it.
I put my car and boat in the front lawn to remind me to run the gas out of them...
Boat got 35 gallons in it and dart has half a tank...
Great weekend to play with the toys...hopeful get done tomorrow.

Most flat beds decline nowdays, someone dropped a toolbox in downtown Austin and tool went everywhere, their cargo insurance did not cover tool boxes,so not many haul them anymore...
I used to get guys asking me to haul them. My liftgate was only 1600#. Sorry, can't lift it.

Well, second cup of Starbucks Pikes Place brewed on rich brew and homemade blueberry scones. Slow but good start to the day.

Someone hit the remote start button on my Ram to warm it up please. It's only 40frickin5 out there .
Beeee careful out there. In whatever you do. :D It's time to go to town and do some banking.

What about getting thick straps and lifting it onto a pick up truck with an engine hoist???

Or pull each drawer out one at a time until you get them all out and it's more manageable to lift....

That's nothing... :poke:

45° out here and we have no coats and t-shirts after coming off of 20° weather....

That's what we did last guy that left from work. Took many of the drawers out. Especially any heavy top drawers to keep the weight low.
Some boxes are a pickup load without tools...

It was a planned departure, so he started taking box loads home for several days beforehand.

Bring it up to my work, we'll get her loaded....

I have a 9100 lb rated fork lift with 8 foot forks... We can reach anything on a trailer from one side...

We also have a heavy duty forklift we call Big Bertha that is rated for 12,800 lbs...

And if Big Bertha can't handle it, we have 15 ton overhead cranes...

My box wasnt that big, but i pull drawers if i have to load it into truck.
But i have 2 trailers that are low and have ramps.

Loaded drawers are a pain to pull. A snowmobile or garden tractor trailer works best.

My Matco box was huge back when I bought it in 1990, but seems tiny compared to the rigs of today. I’ve moved it maybe 3 times, the last time we put it on my flatbed utility trailer. Never again! Flat bed tow truck is the only way I’ll move this thing.
