I know these were mass produced and I doubt if they're ultra rare, but I just haven't seen them on other cars? And for that reason I just get completely paranoid to leave my car out of my sight when I'm in a crowd or at a car show or anywhere for that matter! LOL my cynical brain thinks that it will only take 10 seconds of not watching for someone to reach out with both hands and unscrew the 3-4 turns and have them in their pocket and walked away. and even from a distance I wouldn't be able to tell if they were gone or not. I think to myself how would I replace these? Who would sell me another set? I'm hoping somebody just has a bucket full of them and can sell me a few and reassure me that they're not hens teeth..
Thank you....

You have every right to be suspicious.

Buddy had his 350 emblems pried off his impala at a car show. He was not impressed.

the question Still Remains has anybody seen these? have you be seen them before? do you know somebody who has them?

First time i ever saw them. Put me down for a couple too.

I have one.

It was on my Duster along with one of those same DC chrome air cleaner lids.

That car was built around 1989-91.

The DC lid rusted quite badly IIRC. Kind of wish it had held up better.

I actually prefer the nuts that look like Fratzogs, though.

If I see any reasonably priced at Indy this weekend I will pick them up, and let you know.

Thank you for your response!! So far the only person so far to have one. If you're like me you'd have to pry it out of my cold hands, let's say for instance reasons...what would you valve it at? For me I couldn't even say. Someone would have to get stupid with there money.

I remember seeing them at vendors at Carl Casper's custom auto show's back in the 80's, they used to have different makes of them, bowties ect. I'd say they're going to be really hard to come by today in good shape. I think if I remember right they were made by calcustom.

I did get mine with my direct connection air cleaners that we're still in their original box pretty tethered but complete.
Thank you for responding I'm really at a loss for and idea of what these would be worth if I was to try and replace them..

I think the biggest problem you run into is that they just aren’t out there.

Even if you wanted to, you can’t buy what’s not for sale.

I seen the $3 for shipping and handling but is that some kind of auction or something? I don't see a price of any kind but I don't have I guess the correct Ebay link or something? Is that a new ad I don't even see a date on it? Thank you for looking that up!

No problem man.

I just stumbled across it. I have no idea what it is. Some third party eBay crap.

I’ll keep looking around.

I get ya. I have some vintage speed parts that are invaluable to me. Now I’m passing them down to my son.

Unless somebody steals them or they burn down in a fire they're going to my son my grandson and on and on and on. Is in my dead cold hands! LOL thank you!

Here’s a picture of Jason rebuilding a Holley carb that I bought new in the early 90s. Lol. Full circle. Lol.

Those pentastar wingnuts are mega rare!!! They also made at least 2 different sizes...I had both, the larger one I had was used and I sold it to a member here who bugged and bugged me, finally got so annoyed by it that I sold it to him, he offered a hefty price.

I found a smaller NOS one at the MoPar show here in a box of stuff for $1!!! That one I will not let go...I am also worried people would steal it from my air cleaner....so that’s why I never used it. I also have an original Direct Connection air cleaner and sometimes I’m worried about that...especially since it sticks out through my hood. I’ll post some pictures when i get a chance.

Thank you for that! I have as you can see the little air filters but I just have them capped over the top of some cheap Summit air filters to kind of have that direct connection out there. I'm always so nervous about leaving my car alone. I've got twice as many reasons sticking out of my hood LOL..

That's great! My son is now a full-blown mechanic and I'm still teaching him! LOL he checks in on the more purposeful truck thread every once in awhile. I'm flying to Denver to see him tomorrow night and Thursday I'm going to show him how to tune his Edelbrock LOL

Here are some pics....wingnut screwed on for the pic...it’s safely in storage again behind glass lol....

Thank you for sharing the pictures. My cover's are starting to look pretty rough and actually they came in pretty ugly looking original boxes and it had been sitting unused for quite some time. I still have the original bottoms and I believe at least one of the original air filters which is semi rusty in its own right. I think one day I'll have to send them to be rechromed or I don't know what that one member that we have I can't remember her name but maybe she could do something with them? I really would want them rechromed though no smoke and mirrors...
