Teeny itsy bitsy ants all over the kitchen table (which is clean by the way). Don't know how they can be so small and still have all their body parts. Swept and blew (leaf blower) everything around the doors and windows outside. Sprayed some "lawn and garden" bug killer. No change, still invading my space.

Moved some boxes in the corner of the room and found a small crack in the grout of the tile floor. Vacuumed the dirt/dust there and sprayed some bug killer in the crack. Came back an hour later to find a black layer of dead ants on the floor. That's one battle I've won, but Spring has just begun.

I think those are called "sugar ants". Look them up and find out how to eradicate them.

We got them this month. Every year. Counter top, this year they went in the cat food. That's a new one. I put cinnamon on the counter.

Buy some "Diatomaceous Dirt" and spread it all around. It will kill all insects and bed bugs. It's very safe around humans.

The best way to kill ants is to kill the queen. Bait granules work best because are carried back into the nest and fed to the queen and larvae. Within a week, they all die and the colony is erraticated.

I use this stuff and it works very well.

Well that might not kill all the ants but they will all be deaf and shell shocked and won't be able to communicate and they'll all have PTSD!!!

My yard was on an ant migration trail one year. They were just passing thru. The swath was about 15/20 ft wide, and less than 200 ft long. I just happened to be outside when it passed thru.

Go to DoMYOWN.COM everything you need to exterminate all your bug problems .Same stuff professionals use .I used Taurus to get rid of ants before fall set in ,haven't seen any coming in the house since September. Time to reapply. They have everything for DIY

Used to use that in grain when we had the farm. Kept the grain from caking and kept the bugs out.
Use it now in my rental home between renters. Never know what people will leave behind.

Brake fluid.

I had a huge problem with fire ants in my Tahoe house.

Find where they bed down and put some down the entry. They will try and move the wet dirt an get it on their skin then they all die.

Not environmental but it works.

Didn't do **** when our cats got fleas in the apartment. Moved three years ago and some of our stuff is still dusty.

Seems like we did this last year.:D

My nemesis is mahogany wasp.
Aggressive things that attack if you stray close to an unseen paper nest.
Yellow Jackets swarm too.
And mud wasp.
They put red clay plugs in things.
And they kill spiders which I actually like.

I spent yesterday playing bee-minton.
I've got some traps.
Wacked a few but some taunt me by staying just out of reach.

You should move further north, they would not bug you so much.
