Get busy...
I was busy... Just got out from underneath it. Pulled the axles so I could remove the backing plates with all the brake assembly. Now, when I put the 8.75 in, I'll just slip these backing plates with brakes on and the brakes are done! :)
I get the 8.75 Monday. So, if the weather permits, I should (or hope) be installing it on Tuesday before work.

We want the gold wheels!!:mob:
I had them install the 3" wheel studs on the 8.75 axles. While the drive shaft is disconnected, I'll install my drive shaft loop. Can't wait to see how this car responds to a half turn on the drive shaft...… every car is different, you know

So is this race thing happening? Is this the thread for only The Spectators to Post Time Slips?
Maybe we can get yellow rose to tell some of his stories in the meantime...
You know building hemi's for people in Australia, seeing them on motorcycle programs on TV... LOL... I'm now convinced yr is actually a used car salesman....
Jab, grab a gear will ya!? Get that dart pulled out and get some dust kicked off of it...
"Holeshot Harry" I love it!!

easy, Harry's yard is still full of standing water...….

Picked up my 8.75 today. Yes, it was new green bearings. I have the 3" studs in the axles (he had to knurl it out a smidge for what was supposed to be the mopar studs from Moroso). Welded up a few holes in the housing from some duffis cutting through it when trying to cut off the U-bolts. But nice to have it back and now progress can continue

Now please tell me you're going to put some reasonable gears in this...
It would be nice for you to at least reach the 8th mile before old "Holeshot" reaches the quarter mile...

While you're sitting at the starting line with valves and Axel's flying old holeshot is going to be carrying his front tires down the track....

You sound jealous. Sorry, but truth is truth.

I know I have to turn the other way made a big difference on my car but....
You talking holeshot Harry with 488's...
I was 1.9's consistently 60 ft. I'm looking to go 1.8's consistently with the 2.94's and lighter wheels, and don't forget it has headers which will aid a little on bottom end torque

I thought the headers added to the top?

BTW, the car was built by a guy here in the US. Oregon as a matter of fact. He so,d it and it went down under somewhere. Then the guy moved to Vegas and I saw him on a TV show.
I do love your imagination and you're assertive writing skills I'll give you that...

All you have from Harry so far from this race is a picture of toilet paper and the rear end of his car...….. go figure, they go hand in hand... :D

Speaking of low-end yr's back telling stories again and as usual can't produce a time slip.....
Well, I do remember he wanted to be accepted in the small block race with his X-block, so we said ok..... but he was among the MIA
