quick question. did a 69 barracuda come with big upper ball joints?
pretty sure the uppers are wider too. Im not sure I'd try to run those E body ones on an A Body.I ask that because I have lower control arms from a E body and there just a little different that an A body, length mostly
No. E nor B body upper control arms will not fit your A body cuda. Neither will C etc. cwell let me figure out my upper control arms first, are there marking on them to perhaps tell me year or make. there not A body because there big ball joint. there is a number. it says 3-305, they didn't spring or anything when I removed them from the car. normal fit.

ok 72bluNblu, everything makes sense now. that will explain the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern up front. I did get new axles for the rear to match front a couple years ago. next question is I probably will have to get lower ball joints for a 73 A BodyA ‘69 Barracuda came from the factory with small ball joints
A-body upper control arms are unique to A-bodies, they will not fit B/E/F/M/J/R or C bodies, and none of the upper control arms for those cars will fit an A body
All A-body upper control arms were large ball joint staring in 1973. They were the same as the 67-72 A-body upper control arms except for the large ball joint
Sounds like your ‘69 Barracuda was converted to 73+ controls arms, spindles and brakes at some point. It’s a popular conversion to get the 5x4.5” bolt pattern and later disk brakes.

Correct, you'd want 73+ A-body disk lower ball joints.
ok now lets talk LCA. are all a body the same regardless of drum or disk. my car does has a set I found in the trunk not sure if there from a 69 or now they could be 73. it looks like my upper UCA are 73 ish due to the big ball joint. spindles were still connected to the UCA but I think the left was on the right and you get the picture calipers were facing to the rear of the car.
not that you'd be the first one to cut them off and move themAll A-body UCA’s are the same with one exception, the location of the sway bar mounting tabs.
So if the LCA’s don’t have sway bar tabs they’re all the same. If they do have sway bar tabs there are two versions, 67-72 and 73-76. They have to be matched to the K-member and sway bar being used.

i have a hard time paying for small pieces of bent metal that i just need to weld on anyway. might as well make em' myself
I have tabs for sway bar, I can get a picture of one and lets find out what I have
