Thought they worked when you put it in reverse??
 
Has to be somewhere. Colum shift? Can be a broken pin for the switch, common, not sure what year they stopped though.
 
I got my buddy John there he knows those 67-69 Barracuda's inside and out.

Also have a reverse light indicator? Usually on the bottom of the dash frame, no idea on your car, has to be a switch somewhere, or let me say again it is supposed to have a switch somewhere. Might just be missing it and the harness. Not uncommon.

No reverse indicator on this one.
 
Look it up in that parts book will show it all prob in the trans section that way you know what to look for first.
 
Switches fail and easy checks. YOU CAN DO IT with that fancy dancy meter you now have!:rofl:
