Bought the car with big plans, without doing any research first, like a dumbass. I was gonna swap out my driveline from my 68 but that’s not gonna work without lots of custom work.... too in depth of a project for me with everything else going on.
It runs and drives with the 3 on the floor and the 170 tower of power. Brakes are sketchy but they work, clutch chatters when you take off, but is fine after that. Engine sounds like a sewing machine. The car feels solid, more legroom than my 68. Looks like the rubber boot is missing on the weird front u joint, the rear joint is a regular cross type. It’s in black primer but it needs major body work I’m sure. I’m kind of afraid to start sanding on it.

You're gonna get ragged on askin what something's worth without posting pictures. Why not just leave it like it is and get it running good and drive it? They are awesomefied little cars like they are.

You can’t see the pictures? I must have done something wrong

Well I hit the wrong button and posted the text before I put up the pics, then went back and edited it with pics. Rusty must have very quick

Oh no, it's not you. It's my crappola of a laptop. Sometimes I see stuff, sometimes I don't. Most times when I don't see pictures at first, I come back and POOF there they are. I see it now. I like that very much. And it's a 2 door! That's even cooler! Just fix it up like it is and drive it. It will be the only one around.

It's all in the timing man. But most likely, it's my crappy computer. LOL

I knew I would be kicked in the nuts if I didn’t get pictures up in a hurry.
It’s just too rare and unique a car to modify to do what I want. I have since drug home an old Dakota with a bad tranny that I can fix for free, so I will soon have air conditioning and power rack and pinion steering.
Someone SHOULD fix it up and drive it as is. If I can’t get my money back it can just sit next to the Oliver for a few years, maybe I’ll do it later.

Get some satin black paint on it, not primer, maybe paint some silver highlights, paint the wheels red again and take her out on trips for groceries and such. Drive it as it is and do repairs along the way. Restoration is over-rated.

i have the original bench seat. It needs recovered but the foam isn’t too bad

I was thinking solid moon type hubcaps. Paint would be a must along with a little body work

Maybe find some small bolt pattern 14x5.5 steelies to put on there. Those were on the later 340 barracudas. This will let you put a bit wider rubber under it and still appear stock

I would sell it but I want some opinions before I put a price on it. I think I paid too much, but I’d never seen one like it before and thought it was super cool. That’s why I posted here first

Yeah I probably paid too much for a Barracuda few years ago. Don't know about prices. Seems like they are all over the place. I think your Valiant is cool too.

My commute to work is mostly 75 mph freeway, this rig won’t like that much, seems low geared. Maybe with some 14 inch wheels as suggested by moparmat2000 with some taller tires.

They made a pile of them, but that doesn't mean yours isn't worth something. How is it for rust? Floorpans, quarters, everywhere? Damned if I'd sell it. I have my 64 now and I'm not sellin if for love nor money.

Very cool looking car, love the back end of it. I dont think I have ever seen one before.

I haven’t tore into it, but it looks like lower rear quarters, rocker panels, top of the front fender need work. Floor pans for sure, somebody has done some road sign riveting on the driver side floor.
I fixed much worse on my power wagon, and it’s the same year. Maybe I should keep it and fix it when I feel better, finish other projects too.

Ill wash it up and take better pics sometime this week. Stay tuned

No offense meant here so please don't take it for more than just MY opinion:
The early Valiants are not as desireable as the 64-66 models. The styling on the 60-62 and the 63 are unusual and not really mainstream.
Some love that about them, others like me just do not find them stylish in a way that we like.
I like the 64-66 Valiants from the middle of the front fenders to the taillights but the front end styling isn't to my liking like the 67-76.
I just love the A body platform from '67-76.
Actual value on this car is likely to be under $1000 to most Mopar guys. A person that really likes it would pay more but they have a really small following.

Thanks, no offense taken if none is given. Your opinion is probably the general consensus on this thing.

There like your buddy’s ugly sister that likes you so you drive her cause she’s into you ,fun cause she try’s real hard , and she’s cheep
