Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good Morning all you working FABO coffee drinkers.
Its Friday!!

Hey Chris busy day here lots going on. Have to take the wife to her hip doctor an hour away.
Payment though is dinner at a BBQ place, best I've ever had. Told her we had to eat before the appointment so I could sit there while we do the usual wait in peace. :D

Several months back, someone was talking about some real good saw blades and cut off wheels. I can't think of who it was and a search is coming up with nada. Anyone got a recommendation for a good brand of blades/cut off wheels for sheet metal? Sawz-all type and circular type?
Walter cut-off wheels
Lennox recip blades.

Thanks! Figured since i have some decent battery powered tools now that I may as well get some good blades. I've got an old Oldsmobile to cut up

If you can find the lenox blades that have a slight curve in the cutting face they work fantastic. I cut u the belve with just one!m Not sure if they make them any more.

I use Walter wheels almost exclusively as I cut Stainless a lot. While they are more expensive they simply last much longer and cut further per wheel. We have tried and tried some of the cheaper ones and you just plain get what you pay for in abrasives.

that is true. I went thru the entire pack of harbor freight ones just cutting the quarter off my dart.

They diamond Frank?

Love the Lenox 4.5 diamond wheel. The last one lasted almost two years of heavy use. Best 20 I ever spent on a wheel.

Well picked up the paint for the cuda yesterday SW Dimension single stage. Have to love that surplus City. 400, paint, primer, reducers, hardeners, a couple of boxes of sanding board paper and and a roll of 120 disks.

I never tried Walter products but Lenox are great. Morning all.
Nothing comes close to the walters. I cut a grader cutting edge for a test, it did awesome.
Cutting 4” of 5/8” hardened steel took more of a toll on the battery than the cutting wheel.

they are thin and shatter resistant, moreso than any other disc i have used in my lifetime.
Expensive, but they last.

Did i mention i bought my paint,$900 with hardener, still need reducer.
Was $1250 but i bought it through the body shop’s account.

I have no idea how they sell it so cheap, the color was 140 a gallon, my body supply has the same paint for almost 300!

If you come to Carlisle again this place is a exit away on 81. You do need the SW paint code number for them to mix it. They have basecoat/clear coat also

Tell you what this slant build is not cheap any more the crank has issues. Any one know if all slant cranks fit each other? I know stick are drilled differently but this is a auto. 1964.

Damn cat has been climbing in the Christmas tree. I have been squirting him with water but he still get's in there. :BangHead::BangHead:

slant cranks are all the same. some were drilled for a pilot bearing but since you don't need it, should be able to find one cheap and quick

as expected, they declined my split train request :(

Looks like 68 and back are different no idea why? Best price so far for a kit is 360 shipped.:mad::mad: Might just look around for a date coded engine here.
