got to thinking about some of my old models and dug these out today
keep in mind, I build these before I learned real cars have painted engine bays

yes, I love wings and side exist exhaust
(never thought I would ever have a matching mopar)

some of the wheels were customized and a few of the hoods as well

this GTX is one of my favorites
build to match a matchbox car, with custom made decals
(hard to see in these pics, but the decals are marbled)

of course the Monaco is so roscoe can finally catch those Duke boys
shouldn't be an issue with a twin turbo supercharger dual overhead cam hemi

and perhaps my favorite
a Nascar turned lowrider model

custom bodywork, headlights, paint, side pipes, flip-flop hood, and a pic of the wife on said hood

Very cool! I love model cars I'd love to get back into it and start building them again. I had a thread on here with some of my old ones.
I cannot believe you put a wing on a barracuda tho even if you were a kid! How dare you? Hahaha jk

Yea its not bad at all. I done some pretty cool ones myself I would always make the other brand cars into rods and leave my mopars original appearance lol I did do a fat tire super bee I think it had a blower on it iirc

It wasnt a blower it was just a big scoop duel quad hemi I found the pictures
And a dart that was supercharged at some point in it's life lol

i recognize that kit...that's what I used as underpinning for the Monaco
Yep I always liked amt kits. I wonder if they are still around. I'd love to get back into building them again. I had a little mini air compressor and air brush and everything.
I did a challenger one time and did a vinyl top on it and everything it was nice. Next time I'm i. My storage unit i will did it out and take some pictures

thats what i had too, with a home made downdraft spray booth

i just ran out of time with the kids, then i ran out of room with the new house, and i got rid of it all

Yep me too. The last one I ever worked on I never finished. I started on it when my wife was pregnant with our oldest. Unfortunately I never finished it I still have it in storage incomplete. He will be 14 in may so it's been a while since I built one.

They are still around. I want to get back into building too if I can ever find the time. Watching a lot of build videos on YouTube.

This thread brought those 3 models out of the closet...only to get listed on eBay.
I built an F-ton of airplanes back in "the day"... only the photos remain...must dig 'em up.
