Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
My daughter fell behind in her home school work and we got an email about it.

I was about to read her the riot act and say unless she gets caught up before the end of next week, I will ground her for the Summer with no going anywhere, doing things outside the house or visiting her friends and...oh wait...crap.

:BangHead:

Restored/reworked this one today...

York State Fair -CANCELLED

..."We also believe that while we are unsure of what the end of July will look like in regard to the pandemic, we know that opening the fair while following all guidelines set by local government and the CDC would be insurmountable at this point."

Finished planting the flowers today. 105 Periwinkle Vinca plants we started from seed. These plus the 200+ pachysandra plants and 18 three cubic foot 40 lb. bags of pine bark mulch I am done with digging in the dirt for this year.

Of the four Fairs around this area, only one has pulled the pin. The rest are still undecided. One of them did post information for the livestock peoples to expect drastic changes in the show and sale of critters.

I expect that most, if not all, large Summer fairs/shows will be cancelled in places that have had big numbers of CV-19 cases.

LA County, over 1M attendees per year has cancelled. That one is late in fair season mid September, at least they're not leaving contractors, guests, employees guessing.

Yep. Both our county and state fairs cancelled today. State fair only cancelled in 1944 during WW2 and the county fair has never canceled since it first started in 1929

Nor should they. Owners/operators need to stop trying to string it along. Make a decision one way or the other as best you can and stop kicking the can down the road. It isn’t fair to anyone. It just continues the cycle of uncertainty and angst and causes more harm than good for our eventually recovery.

You can’t just keep saying “Well, maybe.” Ask any pissed off teenager who ever got the that as a repeated response from a parent and eventually just tuned them out, no longer trusting them.

@Tooljunkie

Finally had some time so I got the door apart and uncovered the wiring and ......

Total of 3 broken wires.

As soon as I connected the big black wire, the power windows and locks work.

Ours was already going to be messed up. Was always a 'farmers fair' in September. Was moved to July this year as it becomes more and more of an over sized carnival every year. The agricultural part is slowly being lost. :BangHead:
