A-Body with ID plates that was at Spokane County Raceway...

I was at the raceway with my grey scamp. Maybe me?

Yes, it was the first time out. Just got it road worthy. The next day I checked my holley sniper set up and with all the driving I did, I thought it was self-tuning. Nope, the closed loop and learning were off. So basically it was base tuned and ran slower than expected but no parts were left at the track. I am happy for the first time at the track.

Lots of fun. Never had a car like this. Much to learn and do.

Yes Sir....I normally shoot from down track towards the tree but with things being what they are this year I have to shoot from the absolute worst possible spot....until it is dark...lol...

Thanks for not oiling the track down :rofl::rofl:. We had 2 oil downs on Saturday. Oddly enough both were Mopars....Coronet munched a motor and that damn diesel that runs 10.0....destroyed the rear axle. The truck needs to have the suspension dialed in some...it sort of pogoed most of the way down the track...after several passes it finally had enough...

I don’t know all of the runs but on the run I heard, he missed a shift and ran 12.8. I think he was in high 10s. On others

How did the Lemon Twister do?
I hardly ever notice the times...just what the car does. He red lit once....lot of clutch dust on a couple of other passes. When I get his pictures edited I will post them.

Probably 11:30s which is the norm. He was breaking in his fresh engine and seating the rings. Missing a shift is unusual for him. He’s running a Jerico.

all boils down to track conditions and air. The elevation is a given.

I did not see it but my son heard the announcer say it. As well as saying that the car had been racing for 40 plus years.

Our altitude is in the 2300' area. I have heard several racers say that we are in the ".2-.3 slower then sea level" most days. Track was sticky, all things considered. Friday night was on the cooler side.

OJ...the announcer...does WAY to much talking. Pretty sure Jim is the original owner...and the car has been a racer since day 1.

Jim raced back in the mid 60s in a 65 Dart GT, HiPo 273/4 speed. He ran Junior Stock. He picked up the Duster circa 1975 and has been running it in various forms for years. It’s an original Duster 340, Auto on the column, bench seat. The paint on the car is original. I’m not sure when he started running Stock Eliminator. The last time I talked with him he told me there are only two cars in NHRA Stock Eliminator running a 4 speed in H class (H/S). He sometimes lurks on the site so he may step in to confirm or correct me.

Jims a good guy and a very good friend.

I watched him make hundreds of passes in that duster here in yakima when I was a kid, I haven’t been to the track in years though
