Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, I hope you got lots done and enjoyed your holiday. Nice to have you around.
Any time you build a car with semi custom or full custom parts , it takes a really long time to mock up and fab stuff that works in the real world.

I had to put everything together for mock up just to build my throttle linkage. I call it semi custom because it's modeled after factory parts which are totally not available, anywhere.

The big problem with the linkage is the intake manifold was made for a 170 and since this is a 225 the deck is about an inch higher which makes a huge difference. So I had to rotate the engine so the driver side is a bit lower. So I spit the difference and lowered the driver side a half inch and raised the passenger side a quarter inch with solid steel motor mounts that i made from scratch.

Being productive i see. Anything off the beaten path when it comes to putting cars together takes time. I just installed a rack and pinion (kit) in a 66 mustang, everything in and out 4 times. Its something i expect now.

Good morning. It's finally Friday for you working stiffs...and lookie a bonus long weekend to boot.
I use to work most holiday weekends, but it was double time so didn't mind.
Got to go get the trailer this morning and load the Barracuda. We want to leave bright and early in the morning.
Six hour drive to Sioux Falls, SD for a BIG MOPAR show on Sunday.
Meeting @Sublime one and his bride.
Hopefully John and I can stay within the guidelines we're provided, and will have a GREAT time!!

Oh, almost forgot. Goodmorning!
One more round with this mustang, then i give up. Run it til something goes boom!
Then i will tap on johnny mac’s shoulder. Think they need a real motor for it anyway. They got the bucks, and overpaid for this last build. Builder knew it too.

Nice day today, and no rain in forecast for 10 days. Awesome!

Ya, this lumber shortage, sawmills may be unable to keep up, but i think demand is the cause of the shortage.
I asked the one delivery guy, said this spring was the busiest he has ever seen. Hes been workin in the same yard for 30 years or more. Construction all over,so many new contractors in the area as well. They prefer rural/ remote areas now. Lower risk and more money.

Hah! When have we ever stayed inside our parameters! Zero chance for politically correct behavior, 100 percent chance for a dehydration problem!

Same around here. Hell a house listed is sold in a day with a bidding war. Every one wants out of populated areas.

Rural area? I love rural! You can have an evening like I had last night at the range! Sunny skies, low wind, and rifle ran like a sewing machine! In actual fact at last pistol match my Boss took a pix of me loading a cooler into the Jeep. Subsequently Nine Line Apparel wants to do something with our Company and our Logo (see hat) so owner of Company asked me to submit some additional pix for him. Looks like Jpar ain’t the only super model on this here site!

yep its crazy. But I'm hoping I found the solution. It's just getting the wife on board. A complete steel framed post frame building, we'd have to sacrifice the basement but we could get a 6400 ft post frame for 52k customize, insulated to residential coding, actually slighter better than code, for another 12k. figured 14k in concrete and about 10 more for all the plumbling and electric. for about 90,000 for the structure. Another 30k in inside furnishings and walls. so call it move in ready at 120,000. Less than a 1/3 of what our original plans were quoted at.

If it wasnt for fear, common sense and law enforcement i would be unstoppable!!
Have a great day!

On heck of a tempest search this am took almost a hour. We shall see what the fruits of my labor will be.

I was up early, freakin dog woke me up 3:30 to go out. She took off, took a hour to get her back in. By then I was wide awake......There are coyotes around, and she is small, so she can't be out at night.....
