Got the converter on the trans and mated the motor and trans together....I even remember the two freeze plugs in the rear of the engine...

Got the "old 360 spare motor" out this afternoon...

Got a few things to swap over tomorrow...and hope to have the 408 back in....maybe running Sunday

dont know....probably next year...lol

I went to lvms.com....drag strip.....

Midnight Mayhem....12/11/2020.....

As i was taking parts off the old 360....I realized I had mated the new 408 and 904 without the flexplate...lol....only had the two bottom bolts on.....so a few minutes in delay to get it on..
We had to take the old motor mounts off....trans lines and NSS...

Still not decided on the intake.....SV or Victor 340....both have had work done to them....

Motor in Dart.....

Started hooking everything up today....Installed the SV intake...with an one inch spacer it is really high....

Need to get car up in the air tomorrow morning to get the underside stuff hooked up...

Planning on starting it on Monday afternoon....after my daughter gets off work

LOL. I’ve left off more than the flex plate. I left the clutch disc out one day. Luckily, I didn’t have the gear box back in when I caught it, but the scatter shield was on.

That’s why any more I turn my phone off working on the car. The call sidetracked me and I just forgot the disc. Lunch was good though.

Well...waiting on a part....the stamped steel deep tranny pan i had installed would not allow the shifter bracket to be mounted ....So I ordered a new Summit aluminum deep pan as I use on the other 904s.....was suppose to be here today.....this evening...but UPS says the trailer from Sparks NV was late getting to Vegas...so now it is scheduled for tomorrow......No hurry....not racing for at least 3 weeks..

if you have a rear entry cable it may be in your best interest to get “crafty” and take the pan rail mount out of the equation :)

Sometimes you gotta get a little crafty. Never hurts to use the brain a little bit. My simple adapter from sheet metal to continue to use the Lokar set up w/a TQ on a M1 single plane.

Cable to the shifter bracket.....depends on what shifter you are using.....my b&m are front entry....

some people like the rear entry thing...........

I see what you did there...

I just like how clean that cable/bracket look and how tight it looks.

I've looked at the B&M, they have a pretty stock appearing look and I've seen them used in the stock console.

Got the new pan on today....shifter bracket....driver side headers....plugs...plug wires.....

Have to pick up some tranny fluid tomorrow....and it is ready......

After a couple of delays we finally got it fired up and running....Ran for 10 minutes then clicked it off and let it cool...

Noticed that the starter was really dragging getting it started...Has two batteries in it plus alternator...

Fired it back up and ran for another 10 minutes...then began to cool it off....I pulled the valve covers to check everything...again starter dragged turning engine over to check valves...

Hooked battery charger up and got thing on the charger...I remember while it was running the voltmeter was only showing 12 volts....then my daughter said yes..that where it was went we were in Bakersfield too...

Pulled the trunk lid and hook battery charger directly to battery.....well they are dead....

We got the timing set before I burned up the timing light on the header........got the trans topped off with fluid before we shut it off....rear tires are turning which is a good sign....Need to test transbrake.....

Need to take alternator over to small shop and have it rebuild...one of those one wire powermasters...
