Building a shiny brand new 1.350 x 1.685 BLP BX4 carb. It will be my tune up. Should be fun.

BLP make some nice stuff, I have a BX4 main body on my 434. Be aware that they only use BLP air bleeds, unless you turn Holley bleeds down in a lathe. I made a fixture to use in my South Bend.

How much are you into it? I’ve been looking at doing this same thing.

J.

It’s only 595 IIRC, but I added in bottom feed needle and seats, notched floats and I had BLP install the booster because I haven’t popped for the booster installation tool yet.

So with shipping to me was 720 bucks with the upgrades.

Did they give you a price assembled?

A very precise complicated lego kit. Haha

I don't know, have you seen what they do for tolerances on injection molded plastics? Every tool that is decommissioned is used for foundation of one of their buildings to keep competitors from getting it. Pretty nuts for a toy and I still have some that are alive and well from the early 80's.

Here it is, basically together. All I need to do tomorrow is do the emulsion, drill out some air bleeds, drill the IFR’s and PVCR’s and install the T slot restricters.

If I get off my arse it will be all done by 1000 hours tomorrow.
