Well, decided to sell my GTS. I posted it in Cars on Line last July to test the waters. I was really surprised at the responses. Anyway, a gentleman from Monterey, CA bought the car. Delivered it Monday as part of the deal. I got the hot rod bug so I already have a project going so I’ll keep busy for a few years.

I should note that even though the car sold its now in good hands. And, I have a new friend. It has good company where it sits now.

You'll be back
It's in your blood now.
Good luck

Oh, no.

Not without pics of the new project, you don't.

Opinions vary but mine is good for you. Go do something different and enjoy it. Having owned all makes and brands the idea of one brand being the holygrail is hogwash. Good and bad amongst all. I guy I worked with got a Model A a few years back and has had a blast working on it. And he is a diehard GM guy.....

Good luck,
JW

Only reason I always stuck with Mopar, the fact I am too dumb to try to learn to work on other makes!!!!
IF I had the time (old and woreout) and $$$, there are some cool Ford and GM models I could love too. Old cars are cars, and car guys are car guys.

Bittersweet moment I am sure.
But sometimes you need to shake the tree and get with something different.
Your GTS was a real nice car.

I can hear all the mice clicking going on from here. Everybody is jumping over to FBBO to look at the cars for sale ads, and see which one you replied "PM sent"!

They’ll be disappointed in that it wasn’t listed for sale

I'd love to get a AMX or a Javelin after seeing them in action at the Tran-Am series...or a Morris Mini. I'm partial to Mopars as everyone seems to gravitate to them, even from pretty nice GM and Ford cars. Plus it was my first real car so they sort of grew on me. Mopar's are like a box of chocolates: you never know whats in it until you race against it.

I`d do another gm product, anybody can get about any part for them , ''anybody can make one run !! ''

Love the truck, but we need more pictures or a build thread.

I’ll put something together when I physically have the truck. One thing I will do is put some color on. Not a full on paint job but color epoxy sealer. The owner built the truck as a quasi street rod/rat rod. Has a mix of old and new school. What I like about it is he didn’t throw a bunch of parts at it. Used things that were available.

Looks like a fun ride! Hopefully, he ditched the vacuum operated wipers. I drove a Pilothouse Dodge on a round trip from Asheville, NC to Clarkesville, TN once in 1981. It had a swapped in 225/904, and ran good. Got in a rain storm, and every time I started up a hill....the wipers would stop! Had to let off to get them to work. That was a long trip because the wipers took the fun out of a cool old truck! :BangHead:

Did the same thing a while back with my roadrunner, I went a little older.
