Hi, I would like to know what you guys think my car will run and how much horsepower. 74 Duster, full interior, mini tub 28/12 rear tires. 391 gear, 727 trans with a 3500-4000 PTC converter, 71 360 .060 over 414 cid. trick flow 190 heads, 12.2 compression, 590/587 248/250 hydro roller cam , 850 carb on air gap intake, 1 7/8 TTI headers. what do you guys think ?

10.45

Hope it goes quicker than your posts...... 3 post in 17 years isn't exactly cutting the mustard!~! :poke:

being from Tennasee I’m betting he has a fast track nearby but the converter won’t get him a 10.45.
Wonder if it's off the shelf or custom to build... If PTC custom built it for his gear/motor, then it may be like ketchup and hot dog

I’m betting not at the weight he’s at. Full interior 74 duster is probably 3400 at the line.

Air gap intake seems like it would limit the upper end power over a free flowing single plane? Other than that it sounds like it should scoot

It'll run better than slow and have more than a Briggs and Stratton.

Launches and hooks low 11’s with your arm on the window sill just cruising, serious tuning and dialed in consistently maybe crack the 10’s

Question number one would be how much experience do you have recently racing at a drag strip?
Question number two what's your all-in timing set at and what is your air fuel ratio at wide open throttle?
Question number three those rear tires what kind are they? And how much air do you have in them? And how new or old are they?..
10.7 to 11.7 or worse depending on the answers to all those questions...

I wasn't questioning whether you could drive or not. You've posted five times in the last 17 years so I wouldn't have a clue if you just bought the car yesterday or you've been drag racing all your life. With that said have you been drag racing the demon at a track?..

For some reason, every time I look at the title of this thread, I see "Will Run" :D
