I knew the idea sounded familiar.

I only see one flaw, if you are gas welding and use too much weld, you are going to get a puddle of molten metal in your crotch.

It was always such fun being the fire watch at the rock farm while your co-worker was in some contorted position with a torch or a stinger in his hand :rolleyes:. That 1" or larger water hose close at hand waiting for the smell of burning cotton :lol:
 
Looks like Wednesday or Thursday will be a good day to replace the outside door handle on the Buick. I won't mind working outside in the sun if it's around 50°
 
Just heard my cousin Patty passed away. She wasn't feeling well a month ago and was tested for Covid. That test was negative but they found cancer in her liver and pancreas. She wasn't sick long. She was my oldest cousin at 77. RIP Pat.

So hopefully a bit of good news. I broke down and did it the right way, ordered the rockers for the dart today, AMDs, they’ll be here in a day or three. So next week, since it’s gonna be in the 60s, it’ll be fit and weld all week. Rockers and quarters are the only thing left to weld/replace and then most of the welding will be done. Except for the last pieces around the fuel cell for whenever it comes in! At least the biggest pieces will be on the car and in place.
