65 tank?

Does this look original or 1971 replacement? Taken from my barn find '65 with '76 tags.

Its coming out for the new AMD 1963 flanged tank that looks like a direct fit with a slightly different gasket only. It's fitted to a flange on the tank instead of free floating on the filler tube.
 
Update: AMD $36 tank is identical to one I removed. Even the flange is the same once the 63 style gasket is removed.

A likely irrelevant observation is the insulating material looks like roofing felt or tar paper from the white lines on it.
 
Its about 1/8 thick jute. looks pretty good for 55 year old under the car insulation! You think that old tank is a 71 production date replacement?

I cant speak with authority about the tank, but when I transferred the tank from the 66 Dart donor to my 65 Bcuda the insulating ‘blanket’ didnt have any lines and looked far more weathered while still serviceable.
