When I had a few health issues going on just to go racing and to be there my son was driving my duster. When he lost like that we would avoid each other for an hour. .01-.03 of woomp woomp woomp I was ok with but when he would give it back and run .07 off with a trusted car I wanted to strangle him.

To your point, if you look close Flyfish time slip is a crumpled up mess. They don’t hand em to ya that way! They get that way when you are totally pissed off and frustrated so you just wad it up and throw it on the passenger side floor! (Ask me how I know) Then later when you have cooled down a bit you unravel it, smooth it out, and stare at it for a long time pondering how to make it better.Ah the hobby we love.

Mine are usually the other way. I’m .0001 under and took .043 stripe. Lol.

Any changes for today.

no, other than its 4000 foot of air.
Got by 1st round with an 040. Guy i raced was 084.
Gonna have to get better than that

car has went from a 6.78 popping like crazy to a 6.93 running well.
800 foot to 4000 foot. Gotta love Michigan.
Hot, windy, today, strong breeze... cool all next week after today

Second round runner-up again.
Found a new way to lose. Wrong end of a double breakout.
Chasing a slower car, we both had 30 ish lights
He broke out by 4... me 5, and i wasnt holding. Have zero clue why the car decided to pick up 5 out of nowhere
Gonna take time getting the carb dialed in to predict what this thing wants to run... 800 foot of air to 4000 foot in the same weekend with a new combo doesn't help.
Pretty happy with the tree, 40 light was my worst of the weekend. This combo reacts quickly
enough i can leave off the flash on the bottom. Nice sweet spot. Works well off the foot!
The old 360 had to leave after the second bulb went out. You can get in a rhythm sometimes, but.... then sometimes you cant, and your guessing. Not a good thing..

Wallace says that MOV was a half inch. Stuff happens, i wouldnt beat myself up over a loss THAT close.
Well, that was 2 "womps" and hit the brakes to slow the car about 10mph.....I was a doofus....I should have trusted my car more than that and taken more stripe. With the nasty headwind we had (about 20mph), that would have been a 6.57 on the nose.

Nice to see the new combo made it through the weekend, she seems to be running well.

Putting it away last night, think i heard the alt belt squeak.
Didn't mention it earlier in this thread, but fighting the lower pulley bolts loosening.
Had to tighten them every pass. To the point to where after leaving Saturday evening, i ran and grabbed some lock washers.
Put them on first thing Sunday morning, after the time run i checked, bolts were all still tight.
Didn't check again. If they have loosened again, i have no idea what the hell is going on. Never dealt with this before.
Kinda worried.

Is it a bolt on the water pump or in the Alternator itself?
I had both give me headaches.
