Where do you guys like to mask when you paint an engine bay to make it look as seamless as possible when you wind up doing the body at a later date?

Everything is body color (or was originally).. so everywhere the hood doesn't hide..
I go to the appropriate pinch weld.

Along the fender rail pull the tape back slightly when shooting the final color to blend with the existing.

That was close! Lol.. I had a vat of tar heating up and was plucking some chickens....
Thanks. for posting this along with the pictures. I have ‘65 Dart GT convertible to do this on and I got some good ideas and info from it.

Thanks this is perfect. I've seen some guys go up to the hood line but that pinch weld there seems like the best spot to hide the seam. Appreciate the pictures.
