Stop in for a cup of coffee

Thought I would just check in on the Coffee Thread.
I guess I wandered into N +P instead.
If you want to solve the problems, it's called TERM LIMITS!!!
I'm out again.

Off to Des Moines today (state capital). The wife has a Municipal Police and Fire pension board meeting.
Meeting got out early. I had just enough time to do some bottle shopping and pick up one for a friend. Ya, I don't have a drinking problem, I have a collecting problem.

Santa Barbara our county seat had a de-sal plant they built many years ago and never used it. They took it apart and sold it to someone else :BangHead:. Of course the reservoir that supplies most of their water barely has enough water to support tadpoles now :soapbox:. All the recyclable plastic bottles would plug up the de-sal water intakes every 5 minutes anyway
That’s what kills me . Companies like that get millions of tax payer money but it never ever actually benefits the citizens . Back in 2009 we had a Canadian based solar power company basically lobby themselves into a deal with the state to use emminent domain to force a friend of mine to sell his 2.5 million dollar race shop and adjoining land for the purpose of building solar panels. They got the state and feds to label them as a public utility and forced the county to re-zone the area. With the real estate market the way it was, they got the building for about a million. Plus got roughly 6 million from local and state governments. Three months , the company disappeared off the face of the planet. Now, that building is a fire extinguisher factory. Crazy.

There’s a ton of micro brews down here but so far, liquor doesn’t seem to be popular at all. Well outside of Rum and Tequila. I drove around the other day trying to find any kind of Bourbon and no one had much of a selection, just a few little single shot bottles over priced like hell. Even the Walmart.

Let's drop all controversial topics here. OK? NandP has enough of that. Going to rent a cabana by the pool today. Relax and get drunk.....

They wouldn’t let me rent a jet ski. Apparently to rent one, you have to take a safety course and pass a driver/instructor course. The next one wasn’t until next week. Oh well.
I may go parasailing instead.

Not sure if I checked in this AM. Been a very busy day. 10 days ago I was knee deep in snow, winter jacket on and the river was frozen when moving my boy home. It is 92° and humid. Gotta love mid west spring. 60's next week.

They are usually a PIA. Try doing the passenger side of a 440 in a A body!.

With the inner fenders cut out, it is a breeze. And stubborn plugs and starters can be reached through the wheel wheel. Don't be a quitter, cut it all out....

I’m making removable access panels like they had on the early B body cars for just such a thing.
