There are two cuts in the spot where the bushing goes, is it fine to leave it like that? ( i ground it with sand paper on a dremel.)
Don't worry about it, loose any sleep over that. Not an issue.

Looking back at the original post, I believe you are correct. Good eye.That part you left in there with the scratch is the outer sleeve of the bushing. That must be pressed out to press in the new upper bushing. Here is a pair with the bushings pressed out. This is what yours should look like before you install the new bushings

Not on the uppers only the lowers.that’s the reason i asked what type bushing he was using. Never used Poly but don’t they use the original outer shell?
