New hockey fan here, never had it around growing up on West coast (Oregon doesn't). Anyhoo, Seattle got the expansion team who had a rough go of it first year but this year they managed to hand Boston Bruins their first home loss of the year and went on a 7 game road win streak. Go Kraken!!!

FYI you have the Portland Winterhawks a great team And always good hockey. They are all trying to make it into NHL. And if you are ever bored you have some great hockey in Eugene at the fairgrounds. I played in the leagues there for many years. You also have Hockey leagues in Renton ice arena and also in Tacoma. I played for the Tacoma Blades about a million years ago! There is quite a bit of hockey by you but it does not get any publicity. Skipping across the border to watch the Canucks in Vancouver is always a great time. You can stay within walking distance of the arena For cheap! Hockey is a great sport! No bias here!

Thanks, I have seen some minor hockey league, think when stationed in San Diego it was the Gulls. I also believe the Canucks are the Krakens' cryptonite, will have to see if they beat them yet, just played yesterday I think.

I guess the Kraken beat the Canucks, first time ever. With that win they surpassed their total wins for the entire last season so a better year. Seattle is hosting a winter classic on New Years Day, outdoor hockey we may go check it out.

Gee I thought I was up early you all have me beat and can have that honor. I need my sleep.
Good morning and a happy Friday for the working crew.
No hockey here just football...GO CHIEFS!!

Willie still hitting the treadmill?? I don't here you are mentioning it anymore.
I rededicated myself to a regular workout weekly a few months ago.
For the most part I've lifted pretty regularly for 50 years. I miss it when I don't and always feel better when I do it.
Now it's light weight (dumbbells only) high reps (12-15) and abs for about 45 minutes then 20-30 minutes on an elliptical machine.
Then with weekly softball and cardio tennis I get my cardio and avoid the knee punishment from running. Seems to work for me.

Yessir.. Bike kicks my arse every other day (10 - 20 miles). Had a shoulder injury to work through so ice before and after keeps it moving. Been favoring kettlebell workouts for strength training lately. More range of motion and flow work.

HIIT work mixed in there as well when schedule gets crunched
