I agree. And I probably wouldn't buy it if it was green.
Do Mopars with High Impact colors bring more money?

Backin the 80's, 90's so many 68-9 RoadRunners came F8 dark green poly. But when they are 20-30 year old fabbed paint, they don't look so shiny and cool, maybe ugly is the word?. Back then I had a bud that did the body/paint on most of the cars I drug home. One day he told me he found a 69 Coronet Rt up in Ne. and wanted us to go look. He bought it and did the paint back original, yep.. F8. Back then NO ONE painted them back F8! But it looked super and he sold it for good $.

Agree. I like black cars fine.... as long as they belong to someone else. I'll never own a black car again.
And I own four red cars, in spite of the fact that I'm not a fan of red.

My dad used to make fun of the color on my rr. He called it "baby s#!t brown" (Bahama yellow).

It'll bring more money if the buyer wants the attention, or is making an investment.
This may be the case for A&E bodies. I also agree that it's even more likely for 70s cars vs 60s.
But one thing I'm sure of. Mopars have superior body lines that supports a wider range of colors. Even loud blustery colors. Case in point. Plum Crazy Purple. Can look baddass on a Mopar. But I once saw a Chevelle painted that color. And it looked like the definition of sadness. Lol. Really upsetting the Chevy guys. "Why is it painted Purple?" The reason it didnt work? I believe Chevelle doesn't have the defined lines and body layout to support bolder color options.

I bought my car based on the color alone. I never see Citron Yella/Curious Yellow cars unless I'm at an enormous Mopar event.
I find that F8 is a pleasing color nowadays, maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe not. But, I have always hated lime green and plum crazy, and now that everybody has to paint their cars in either of those colors, I like them even less. However, that being said, some cars look good in those colors, a 70 Roadrunner in plum crazy with a white interior and rallyes looks great, same for a 70/71 Challenger in lime green with a rump stripe and white interior. But on a 73 beak nose Dart, they look horrible.
And, I love that Green Go Demon in the post above, so I’m not completely biased.

They can bring more money but there are variables such as people's likes and dislikes. The idea behind the colors was a youth oriented thing, your square parents didn't have loud colored cars and being young and rebellious the loud colors were in. Now that we have matured, hell got old lol, the colors we used to hate like F8 green are now suddenly appealing much as they were to our parents way back when. It also depends on the right color on the right car. I think a 1969 Charger in Sassy Grass would like like hell but on a 1971 Demon it's just right. That being said when my Duster came back from paint in all FJ6 it looked ugly as hell. Once the V24 paint and stripes were added it became a whole new car and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I had so darn many 70 E bodies that came in Purple back in the late 80s, early 90s I got where I hated them. I had 4-5 AAR Cudas and TAs that ame in lime but i loved them with the black stripes, etc. but hated that when every dog had to paint his 70 Dart that color!
Now I am old and love the sleeper colors in fresh shiney paint! But I detest all these modern vehicles in those damn shades of grey!!!!!!!!!!

Orange cars stand out in a show field like pumpkins in a pepper patch. I am an orange guy myself but also like black or red cars with stripes and white interior.
Bring more money? NOPE stand out in a crowd ? YEP Didn't care for the color at first BUT it grew on me and I really liked it later on. Moved on to other cars but still like it

I always thought F8 is a pretty color, when its fresh, one of my current projects a 70 Challenger is F4.
I am going to paint the Challenger back to F4, something I would not have considered doing 40 years ago.

Cobra orange is brighter without the metallic but same color. Parked next to a Superbird and the Duster looked much better. Here it is The cobra orange parked next to a Hemi orange / tour red Duster . Yes nothing is better than orange for me.
I had a 70 Duster that same color a few decades ago. I always figured a cop could see it coming 5-10 miles away. But it was a slant, so I was always safe!!
And you would not be wrong there! Especially with that yellowish stripe, I like the way that sets off the orange.
