Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
My Dad was a Huey pilot out of Da Nang in '69 shot down once with SF guys a little north of the border. They all survived and spent a day and night doing a little escape and evade. Flew in and out on Hamburger Hill for a day or two. I remember watching that movie one night with him and when it was finished, he looked at me and said it wasn't quite like that. He spent the next couple hours reliving his experience during that battle. It was the only time he talked about VN. He was also an Infantry soldier in Korea with the 25th. He had his combat related problems and like Mitch's dad went young from cancer at 62.

Became friends with a contractor at a past job. Through conversation, found he was a Vietnam Vet,... Air Force radio operator. He was attached to the ANZAC guys... he shared these photos. .

He also passed too soon from some exotic cancer thing.

Morning everyone! Temp is supposed to go up to 71 today! I sure do love that global warming. I think I'll go idle my fleet to help contribute.
