Background:
Been restoring my 1970 Satellite which was operational prior to restoration. Drivetrain never removed. Steering column was out.
I connected my shifter to the trans but when put in neutral the wheels won’t spin but for a few inches then hard stop.
Disconnected the shifter and manually tried to find reverse on the trans but again wheels wont spin much like only a few inches of rotation the drive shaft moves a little (yoke slip). Feels like the trans is in gear.
I have engaged the emergency brake and indeed the wheels are solidly locked. Thus I don’t believe it’s a stuck brake.
This is probably a simple issue as I am new to automatics. But I can seem to find reverse and get the trans connection to the linkage set up.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?
