I made these fuel lines, but now I’m not so sure what I have done is a good idea. I wanted to get rid of rubber hose and clamps and still have it somewhat factory appearing. I put the carb inlet on the backside because I didn’t like how cramped the filter and hose was up by the distributor. I think I have the inlet of the filter backwards I’ll swap that the other way.

That filter style is from the ‘60’s corvettes.

Will I have heak soak issues? Did I make a fuel heater with my contraption?

Where does the factory put the fuel filter?

If you end up with heat soak issues, you could always wrap it with some DEI heat shielding. That stuff works very well.

Also, it may be an illusion, but a couple of the bends look like they've flattened quite a bit. Can fuel still flow through the line well enough?

I made up my own line similar to yours, but mounted the filter up front. The factory location would also work, which is vertically just above the fuel pump. I would not recommend having it right over the heat crossover.

Thank you. Yes that is an illusion. I have a good bender that’s makes a nice radius on every bend. I will wrap the lines with some sort of heat sleeve.

Thank you. I didn’t think about the heat crossover until after. lol. I’ll make some improvements.

I put my filters right at the pump on the inlet line from the tank. Chrysler did that on lots of vehicles right from the factory, especially on some trucks. Gets the filter out of the way of everything.

Okay so in that flex line right before the mechanical fuel pump. Got it. Thank you sir.

What do you think about putting the filter in this area or further down a tad? You'd probably even be able to make what you have still work.

That's what I was thinking but maybe closer to the fuel pump. And the filter is in the airflow from the fan. Of course you need room for the alternator too.
If you swap the tee and the ell at the carb you would eliminate the extra loop. Less exposed fuel line will help with reduced heat absorption, especially I'm CA.
Just my opinion.
