Which modern wiper motor?

-
Hey Friends, for what it's worth, I used a '90's minivan wiper motor in my magnum swapped '68 Dart. I just wanted something a couple decades newer than what I had. I modified one mounting hole on the van bracket. I'm already using a Saginaw steering column with delay wiper control and it works perfectly. I've also got a Saginaw collumn in my Duster with delay wiper using a stock 70's wiper motor. I passed info along to a fella on the B bodies forum and he said his stock 3 speed switch didn't give him all 3 speeds with the newer motor. I'm not sure why. Pics atrached

FYI, later M-Bodies like Diplomats used a plate that bolts right to an A-Body and has holes that match the minivan wiper motor. Seems like the motor is different, little fuzzy on that right now.

Either way, I have the Diplomat/minivan assembly that I have had bolted to my '74 in the past. Didn't hook up the linkage or wire it in though. My brother was going to use it on his Demon project and couldn't get the arm to work so it might not be a slam dunk.

I use a Neon 2005 wiper motor and mounted it inside the car.I had to make a bracket and modify the arms a bit. Not the best picture but that's all I have.

What motor works with the 6.4? As thats one item i was unsure of. Does the standard 74 duster wiper motor fit

I've driven mine In the rain once (years ago). Not fun. Realistically most of us need no more than 1 speed (and usually only for state laws). I ended up getting sold the "required" 2sp switch kit, and after looking at the factory diagram and testing diagrams . Realized the factory switch and dash wiring can stay. Their unit removes the outside low speed park resistor wiring with the same signals, so less wires. Nice parts though.

I've considered just making a little bar i can function by hand to move the wipers manually. I'll be quite surprised if I ever actually use the wipers.

Hey guys since this forum has pretty much become the modern hemi swap / pro touring forum I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a modern wiper motor that works with the stock wiper linkage?

I'm leaning towards shaving the wiper motor area off but if anyone has a small unit I can put into the factory stamped recess I'd think about it.

Also which switch are you using to run e modern wiper motor? I thought about using painless wiring switches for wipers and headlights.

Thanks,

Riddler
I used a 2005 Neon wiper motor but I put it inside the firewall. Very minimum articulating arm mods and I used the painless wiring and switches
