By the way, for those that may not know.... the 318 in this Duster had a 100% factory assembled-never taken apart short block with over 100k miles, still had the 318 heads with factory valves, only a cheap summit cam with the factory cast intake 4bbl ran 13.9's in the 1/4 mile on standard radial street tires (no drag radials). Full weight, full interior car.

Somewhere out there, there are a few Factory 340 X-head A-bodies whimpering :poke:

Guess your 318 never heard it's not supposed to be capable of doing that :)

What gear ratio did you use, cam spec's?
 
That’s what I’m building for my 73 Swinger,,,,it will be a Magnum engine,,but dressed to look like a LA engine .
Here is a pic of my pistons I’m using and my rods .
