Hi,

Im in australia, and after a pinion snubber rubber for my dads 1977 CL charger. From what I have gathered, they are the same as 1972-1984 parts. I had the bracket blasted and powedercoating, tellling them to just cut the old one out. I did not realise it would be so hard for me to find one, yet here i am. The only ones on our aussie parts sites are the early ones with the tabs. I need the later one to suit the bracket as per photos. Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

The rear axle pinion carrier rubber bumper shown is Chrysler number 3643969 which was used in American car applications from May 1972 - September 9, 1974. It replaced the previous design, Chrysler number 2403906. 3643969 was superseded by Chrysler number 3845139 after September 9, 1974. The numbers can interchange. 3845139 was used in American rear wheel drive passenger car applications through 1989.

The Australian Chrysler Valiant CL Charger should be able to use either number as well. Both numbers are discontinued by Chrysler with no known remaining dealer stock reported by PartsVoice. The aftermarket does not seem to make a replacement.

eBay lists a 3643969 at NOS MOPAR 1972 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 PLYMOUTH DODGE REAR PINION SNUBBER 3643969 | eBay. From your second image, it looks like you have seen the other listing.
