So I've been looking at my dash and thinking about ways to incorporate my modern electronics in a way that's a little more factory looking and had the idea of mounting another switch on the dash next to the flasher. Based on the instrument panel bezel, it appears that there might have been an option that went here to begin with as it seems like they just blanked out the text in the mold. I went looking for a picture to show where I was talking about and low and behold the first one I found already had a switch there, which is exactly what I was planning to do. That being said, what original option would have gone here? Most of the options I've seen over the years tended to have switches and knobs mounted on the lower edge of the dash instead of right up front. Interestingly enough, this car also looks like it has another option on the right side of the radio if you look closely. Hard to tell if that's just a cigarette lighter or another knob though.

The knob to the right of the radio is a cigarette/cigar lighter. My 70 340 Swinger has it, but also has the "hole" for it in the ashtray. Can't help with the one on the left, mine is a Rallye dash.

This is my 2nd '70 340 Swinger, which I bought in 1987. The first one I bought in 1972 and it also had the thumb wheel radio.
