Glad it's not closer! It's just begging for a RWD conversion...360, 4-speed, 8-3/4...you know the rest of the list. Maybe even making it a 2 door wagon?

Other than torque steer, you can keep the fwd and swap the turbo 4 from a pt cruiser/srt4 and turn them up to about 380hp 400 tq with just a bigger turbo and injectors. Budget 11 second Daily driver!
But yeah a SB stroker would be rad.
