Can't find a single other example of a 318 73 swinger special, anyone ever see production numbers for these? Also thought it was weird that they built this 73 in August of 72. Is that more common for Canadian cars?

What is so “special” about it.
New model year cars come out in September and are built months before.
The factory shuts down in July ish to retool for the next year.
Sorry I do not have numbers to give you. Although I bet it is in the 10’s of thousands.

Its a swinger special im not saying its special. I can find production numbers for 72 and 74 swinger specials but not 73. For 74 I saw that they only made 1900 something swinger specials with a 318 so I would assume its a similar number for 73 not tens of thousands. Also I thought that atleast the us manufacturing plants didn't start production of the next year vehicles until September.
17,480 total production. I see no breakdown between 198, 225, and 318. All production date calendars (Julian Date Code) start on August 1.
73 production started in Aug of 72 for all plants. 73 model year cars hit showrooms in Sept/Oct of 1972
Built in a canadian plant similar to 250K+ other mopars.
It's a swinger with a badge and extra bright trim on it (wheel moulding, drip rail)
