Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hard as I try to not take any repair jobs....My Widow neighbor called me from the road yesterday with an emergency. She said the car was making a crazy noise in the back when driving forward. But not in reverse. She asks " Can I drive it home? " I'm like No,No,No don't do that. She was downtown Wash. D.C. at the time so it was hours before it showed up on a rollback. Got it up and found a bolt had come out where the caliper bracket bolts to the wheel hub. WTF ??? Caliper was swinging up and contacting the inside of the wheel itself...Pretty quick fix, and I used loctite to secure the new bolt better. I even took the other side apart and loctited it.... :thumbsup:

im going to build a chevy and paint firewall body colour, and a mopar with a black firewall. And my 80 power wagon macho package orange had black firewall.

Morning!
Rain. Still sore. Ribs sore from topside creeper and leaning over fender.
Will put tools away and start preparing for weekend work on pumphouse.

I sold my black engine compartment Dart. The new owner said repainting it was one of the first things on his list. :rofl: :rofl: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 
Soooooo Chris just learned that all the LS engines share a common bellhousing with the 4.3 v6 that’s in his half ton Chevy…… and wiring harnesses to the computers are the same…

Someone needs to take the internet away before Chris does the unthinkable….

I'm trying. But I do have a guy that I put a radiator in his late model Chevrolet 2500 truck. He was supposed to come and get it last Friday. Told him I would put the invoice and the key in the truck. He would put the money or check in my outside mailbox at the shop. I'm thinking he doesn't have the money or he needed to wait until the first of the month to get some money. Don't know .Well now it's a week, and I'm leaving next week. If I don't hear from him I will put the key and the invoice inside the shop. Then we will see what happens. LOL
 
Cool morning here, dogs didn't care on our walk. Wife unit wants to head for the hills and check out the changing colors and a picnic.
 
Well final inspection didn't go as planned. The pilot light was out on the water heater so hecouldn't check the scald protection. I restarted the water heater but I will have to reschedule the inspection. Good thing I'm retired. :rofl:

speaking of the above, asked insurance how to lower house insurance. update electrical was the reply. and how do I do that? I replaced all switches and outlets when we moved in. already has breakers. want all the wiring replaced? and don't start on the "roof is more than ten years old"! nevermind they are "supposed" to be 25 year shingles and ALL the decking was replaced. thank-you for listening.
