3 goals on 22 shots. They were all stoppable and the last one was brutal. He just needed to keep one of them out of the net.Edmonton has lots of firepower, but Skinner is not a Stanley Cup goalie

I'm hoping Skinner is on a short leash. Unfortunately good goaltenders are hard to come by.Didn't see any game, focused on the Jays, but how apparent does it need to be for mgmt? McJesus takes a 40%+ contract discount to help them with goaltending...mgmt should be embarrassed and ashamed...Jeez bring up a minor leaguer, maybe lightning in a bottle. DO SOMETHING.

He scored a hattie….and they still lost? Wow. What was the final score?Jets signed Kyle Connor to a $96 million dollar extension over 8 years, and a no movement clause. He responded with a hat trick in the season opening loss to Dallas.

I was surprised to hear about that in other recent contracts as well, but I have to admit I don’t know/haven’t thought about it enough to have an opinion either way.The entire "no-trade" is bs. The board and union should knix that. Minimum of a 3 team list. Gimme 5 on that list?? Well that got you an extra 100k on your contract. Incentives to add more teams to that list would work.
I love the game, but a no-trade should not exist.

Final was 5-4 Stars. I was unable to watch the game because our internet was out from about 5 until 10 pm last night. Had to settle for the recap on my phone. He scored a hattie….and they still lost? Wow. What was the final score?
Regardless, don’t worry too much about it Randy, as no doubt they’ll take out their frustrations on the Wild tomorrow night, as they always seem to do!

In this case it was a bit surprising, and unusual for a player to request a no trade clause in Winnipeg. The contract is heavy with signing bonuses, both sides seem very happy with it. The biggest surprise for me is that Connor actually wants to play with the franchise for his entire career. Being from Michigan there was a lot of talk about him going to the Red Wings and being closer to home.It became apparent last year with ***** Marner and his no-trade. Yes both team and player sign the contract, but its the player that holds the gun to the owner head.
You as a player wanna play in the NHL? A minimum of 3 trade teams.

Not much of a Marchand fan, but I will admit the ceremony in Boston for him just now was rather touching.

Toews has fit in very well with the Jets, and I am not the least bit surprised by that. I always believed that he belonged in that dressing room.Got our Christmas tree up (I know I know we haven’t had Thanksgiving, yada yada but happy wife happy life lol). Was good seeing Toews and reminiscing but also it’s just weird knowing he’s on the Jets. Still struggling with Kane on the Wings. They play Sunday at noon which means I’ll get to watch (I live 7 hours ahead of central time)!

Definitely fitting for him to end up at home and I’m happy for him there. Glad he’s still got a little career left. Maybe the Jets can get over the hump this year!Toews has fit in very well with the Jets, and I am not the least bit surprised by that. I always believed that he belonged in that dressing room.
