Wild finish for game(s) 162 MLB Playoffs

I often turn the sound off. For some reason the announcers believe they have to compete with each other to be heard, so we have to hear every insignificant little bit of backstory.

I don't think it's ever done until it's actually over. There is still baseball to be played and elimination games are generally the toughest to win. Just ask any Yankee fan.

Yankees (Suck) were never in it this year.

Milwaukee has 3 runs in 3 games... LA crazy budget seems to paying off. Doesn't happen often

ALCS isn't on my free Fox 21 today. Trucks turning left gets the air time. Like horse racing with Clydesdales,,, STOOPID!
Have a good evening

I'm wondering if the crazy spending and long contracts given over the last couple of years are a hedge against anticipated changes at the end of the CBA next year. There will likely be a long lockout and big shakeups. Owners want a salary cap and the union will fight that all the way. Whatever the fallout, players under contract will likely stay that way. Maybe that gives the Dodgers a leg up over other teams in the first few seasons of a new CBA, after which their payroll could be brought back to that of less wealthy teams. It's not all that different than what the 49ers did just before the NFL salary cap went into effect.

Players under team control will suddenly be extremely valuable. Winter meetings will be interesting.

Being a fan of a AL East team that is NOT V the Yankees..(Suck) I'm interested in potential parity... dunno

The Yankees started the whole idea of outspending the competition after free agency when they poached Catfish Hunter and Reggie Jackson from Oakland.
I think parity is needed for the health of the game.

What I ponder is whether or not parity results in blanket bad. Small and mid market teams do tend to end up just being AAAA ball for the big spenders.

There will still be perpetually bad teams. But the Pirates won't be eliminated on opening day. And they were a perfect example of being a developmental team when they had (pre-steroid) Barry Bonds and Bobby Bonilla. They made that team fun.
