Yes, Mike's Duster 340 is amazing. He did an great job bringing it back to factory appearance. Very cool backstory.

Someone asked me about bringing mine, but it's the week after a family vacation and I'll be honest car shows are not my thing..

Carlisle is unlike the regular "car show". There are so many other things going on during the weekend at the show.
Swap meet, special guests, historic Mopar race cars and drivers, Dodge Thrill Rides, drift competition, car corral, car memorabilia for sale, etc.

This just gives me another reason to go in 2026. I'm just finishing up a 71 Duster 340 model I'm building.

Dodge Thrill Rides
It's my understanding that the thrill rides are done. Mopar is doing away with the Hemi and going to the Hornet V-6. I was talking to one of the drivers, and he was unsure if they were going to be featuring those in the thrill rides or not.

I hadn't heard that. The Dodge Thrill Rides were still going last month at Moparty in Bowling Green Kentucky. They were still driving Hellcat Challengers and Chargers, obviously 2023 or older. The new Chargers will be offered with the Hurricane twin turbo inline 6 very soon. Possibly a Hemi in the near future since the Hemi is back in the Ram trucks.
You can read up on the current Charger Hurricane offering from Dodge.

^^^^ I will never own another new vehicle in my lifetime, but just wondering how well the Hurricane engine is holding up!!????

That's where I spoke with one of the drivers at. He said as far as he knew, Moparty was the last of the thrill rides. He said there was talk, but not confirmation that they'd use the Hornet V-6 or not.
That's why they did the whole stunt show with the monster truck and the Hellcats on Saturday.
I hope it comes back. I'm interested in the Hornet V-6, just not in the Dodge Hornet

Thanks for the update, interesting.

27 years. My first car. Drove it to high school, my wedding day, and every chance I get.
That's great to hear. It must run pretty well if you are drag racing it.
Are you considering taking it to the 71 Duster 340 Reunion in Carlisle next summer?

Sorry but it’s actually a 72. I just posted it here because it looks so much like the one @badlilred79 posted.
It runs ok. Best so far of 11.98@116mph. Hope to whittle it down to low 11’s next summer.

Thanks for posting this, Dave.

As mentioned, this event at Carlisle is much more than just a car show — it’s the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the 1971 Plymouth Duster 340.

The event is being organized through the 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 Registry, based on Facebook, where we’re documenting all surviving ’71 H-code Dusters across North America and beyond — over 400 documented and counting.

This will be a rare opportunity to see — and be positioned alongside — several low-mileage, rare-optioned, and freshly restored Dusters. It’s the first event of its kind, so don’t miss the chance to be part of this special gathering and historical documentation.

When registering at Carlisle Chrysler Nationals online, be sure to select the club “1971 Plymouth Duster 340 Registry” to ensure your car is properly placed with the group.

Plan on attending, if I still have the car. 50/50 on selling vs keeping. Original V24 in GW3 (Sno-White), only 3 listed in registry.
