Impressive. Who did the plating? Did they also prep and fill scratches and blemishes on the aluminum as part of the process?
Thanks
I took everything apart and off to the plater.
Bar Plating in Meriden CT did the chrome plating except for the plastic. Plastic chroming in Miami did it, since he has moved to Texas

Trunk trim moldings. I bought NOS ones that where real nice but had some self wear and and a small dent. Sent them out to Tom in Ohio, he straightened and reanodized them. Installed the trunk moldings, taillights and the NOS emblems.

Installed the grills and front bumper finally. It’s been a little while that I’ve done set of 68 grills. A big recommendation is leave everything loose until it’s all in and adjusted, then tighten everything up.

Small issue. Bleed the brake and the proportion and valve was leaking. I could not get it to stop leaking. I had to pull the header out and take the valve apart. I had to machine the top so the brass washer would seat.

I have not updated in a while of the finished work done.

After road test noticed valve covers were leaking. Just one of the issues while road testing the car. As of retightening them the rockers arms started hitting the valve covers. Off they came. I made a stand for them to sit in while I could use a press so I can do them evenly. I did not want to just hit them with a hammer and damage the coating on the valve covers. I made a template of the valve cover before I started so I can guide each press, knowing how much to go. Very happy with the end result.

On to finish the interior
