Wild finish for game(s) 162 MLB Playoffs

Best WS in history, hands down. Bluejays played their dicks off. Just couldn't quite get to the finish line. Who'd have thought a Miggy hr to extend the game.

No I watched some at the gym and I don't have much TV at home. I just know his bat was hot.
Totally, but he is/was coming off a knee injury that kept him hobbled and sidelined for a couple months. Had it been the regular season, he wouldn't have even been playing. The guy could barely outrun Alejandro Kirk. That single in the 9th meant he represented the winning run. It was the right move to pinch run for him at the time with only one out. Hell, even had he not been pinch run for, he still probably would've been asked to bunt over Vlad Jr like what they asked of his replacement Kiner-Falefa. Who knows though. Either way, there are plenty of what ifs all the way around.

I will say, the Bluejays absolutely balled out this year, especially in the postseason. They have a lot to be proud of. I hope they're able to keep it going next year. They're a fun team to watch for sure.

But Springer's still a *****.

Pulling Bo was the right move "at the time", for defense and speed, like @mopowers stated. Fn Jays with RISP SUCKED! Vladi played his heart out, Ernie was incredible. I could go on and on. I loved watching it with my boys, but man what a disappointment. Hoofman can go. I said it all year.
It was great knocking off the Yankmees.

It was a great game, reminded me of when Wilson threw an interception on the goal line giving the Patriots the Super Bowl victory, absolutely heartbreaking for us Seahawk fans.
The Jays aren't going away, they got beat by $100 million and 1 run.

Hoffman had only given up 1 run all postseason til tonight. But a 4.37 ERA for your closer during regular season is unacceptable.

Well that's a wrap on baseball 2025. Great World Series. Close games and blowouts. Two extra inning games including an epic 18 inning marathon. Home field advantage flipped upside down as the visiting teams won five out of seven. Sorry if they said all this in the post game show but when A-roid comes on the screen, I turn it off.

Since he died quite a while ago, this has made the rounds. It's likely you've all seen it. From Bart Giamatti:
It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.

Thanks for that, @S'cuder! That's a perfect description of baseball.
Only 144 days until Opening Day 2026 for the Dodgers.
Waiting is going to be difficult.

Great series... aside from the 2 teams playing and their fans, who doesn't want game 7 extra innings in a World Series?

Pitchers and catchers in 100 days

Hope springs eternal

Hats off to the Blue Jays, they played their asses off, great team from top to bottom. It was an incredible Series, with probably the greatest game 7 in history. The game had everything, and probably took a couple years off my life. Definitely a tough game to lose, but we will take it. See you all next year, as we go for a 3 peat !

Hoofmans performance all year was a joke. Literally a coin toss whether he was giving up a hr. I think it was like 16 hrs in regular season. It seemed every other roster move/change was successful. In reg season most played beyond expectations. Springer, Barger, Bo, Clements, then to entrust all the entire success in Hoofman??
He's good until he ain't and that was the 9th inning game 7.
