My Luck

Didn't she live in Newmarket or is that someone else?
They did. About 2.5 years ago, they sold that house for $1.65 Million just as house prices peaked. They only paid $450K for it in about 2001. Then they rented for about a year, and then they bought a beautiful lakefront house in Barrie about a year ago for $1.1 million. It was perfect timing. The prices had dropped quite a bit in that year. They sold high and bought low. Lucky timing.

WOW!!! good for them. My son is looking at buying another place. 200 acres with a stream going through the property and a lot of wooded area so should be good for hunting.
It blows my mind with some of the prices they are getting for homes.
We paid 155,000 for our house in 1987 and now worth nearly a million.
Been paid off for many years and we couldn't get an apartment for what it costs a year.
A 2 bedroom apt will cost you anywhere up to 2300 a month and even more in Toronto.
Made a typing error... we bought in 1997
