Which vents?

Good morning!
In the 69 dart with ac/heat, set up like the photo below. Should the heat blow out of the front vents or inky the floor? I just had new ac parts installed and the A/C runs out of the front, but the heat is only coming out of defrost and floor. Thanks!

Those vents are only for the AC; heat at the floor and defrost

I don’t know why; my 65 is the same.

I’m no mechanical engineer but possibly it ciuld be changed to a more modern setup with the vacuum pods and linkages

FWIW heat onky systems are floor and defrost

Yeah. They designed it that way.

That's the way it was done on A-Bodies back then. The A/C setup was pretty much an afterthought...

Well that is why they call it a ball cooler, to keep the sweat off your balls...

I'd imagine there'd be a way to bypass that to make heat come out of the AC vents. When pressing buttons, it will come out of those events for a microsecond.

Those are the AC vents.
