These are showing a little bit higher compression height. It might take a head milling to get the compression you want, so if they're close in specs, take the cheaper one.
It means keep it like it is
Naw, man, I gotta tinker. It's how I enjoy the hobby! It means keep it like it is
Yes, those are std. low squeeze '73-'79 boat/truck slugs. Thanks! These have a wrist pin re-located so they aren't so far down the hole? Seems they are just OE replacement?
"Yes" ... as in the raise compression/piston not so far down the whole? Or yes, they are the same slugs I already have..Yes, those are std. low squeeze '73-'79 boat/truck slugs.
The 1263 series would be '68-'72 series, .057" taller, ......knock about 14cc's out for You....I don't have an industrial listing in this catalog, but I know it did show extra-short low squeeze 'teener truck 7:1 slugs....did not for the 440 so....."Yes" ... as in the raise compression/piston not so far down the whole? These are what you want. A true budget FORGED piston. They are the forged version of the six pack piston. They will sit .029" in the hole at TDC.Naw, man, I gotta tinker. It's how I enjoy the hobby!
Edited that post, I can check another catalog, curious Myself now......probably the reality they were all 7.5:1 dogs except HP's '73&^....good stuff

Sho nuff. The STD are not in stock but the ship date is December 8th.Thanks!
Watcha thinkLook what showed up today. If you’re one of the first to order, there’s no delay in the shipping. I see now that there is a delay in the shipping due to high volume sold.

Look like nice pieces honestly. I’ll know more when I put them on and see how they clear the springs and sit on top of the valves, buty that won’t be for a while though because I gotta get the motor in the truck and run it as is first.Watcha think
Gonna throw some hair dryers on it and make @TT5.9mag proud ?Look like nice pieces honestly. I’ll know more when I put them on and see how they clear the springs and sit on top of the valves, buty that won’t be for a while though because I gotta get the motor in the truck and run it as is first.

Ask @Turbo440Dart what it’s like to make a hit with 970lb/ft on tap. His 440 with a big hair dryer made some impressive numbers on Sunday. And it’s a simple package.not in the near future.... and also I'm awful cheap...lol
You also don't need no stnk'n generic assist, N/A is the way.not in the near future.... and also I'm awful cheap...lol
Having played with turbo 4 cylinders about 25 years ago, I know the amount of extreme power they can make. But it ain't CHEAP by any means. And I don't care if you get your turbo for free. You have to have a drive train to handle the power, and the safety equipment to get on the track. But I do love boost in many situations.Ask @Turbo440Dart what it’s like to make a hit with 970lb/ft on tap. His 440 with a big hair dryer made some impressive numbers on Sunday. All in all, I am a N/A guy. I like simplicity under the hood. No clutter. It's why in almost every classic car, I install manual steering, manual brakes, and no A/C. A single fan belt and tons of room makes the engine bay a happy place. You also don't need no stnk'n generic assist, N/A is the way.
BooooooooooooYou also don't need no stnk'n generic assist, N/A is the way.
